I bought this 68 Camaro back in the early 2000's and drove it off and on and back in 2010 I decided to try to do a build on my own, Well about 85 percent on my own somethings I couldn't do. So check it out and let me know what you think. This is what I started with.

Looks like you got your work cut out for ya, I did my old 68 on my own as well from ground up. You'll want to unassembled and strip it all the way down. If your floor, trunk pan and quarters are solid you'll be off to a good start.

I sure did, The Camaro is already done, well 95 percent done still need interior parts to finish it up. I've been looking at some of the other builds and "WOW" I wish I could of done an awesome job as some of these other guys, but I don't have alot of money so I built it on my low low budget ( LOL ) don't get me wrong I think it still came out pretty good for someone with no experience. I'll keep posting pics till i get it all up, didn't want to take 7 years to keep posting pics so I waited till it was all done, well 95 percent done to start posting pics.

At first I thought I would try and do this while still being able to drive the car. I quickly find out that wasn't going to work so I decided to go ahead with the tear down. What i thought would be maybe a year and half to a two year build turned into a 7 year build. Let me tell you when they say " nickle and dime you to death " that $h!t is so true. Buying the big parts are easy its all the little parts you need to get that one big part to work. I replace both front doors complete not skins, rocker panels, both rear quarter panels and a brand new rear spoiler. striped down the rear brake light panel and primered it black. The floors and trunk pan were good as you can see not much rust

I removed the sub frame but when I got it off the cross member for the motor mounts was bent so I had to replace the sub frame, cleaned and primered the firewall, cleaned and primered the dash also replaced the top off the dash it was rusted on the right corner.

Installed the new sub frame, control arms and disc brakes. removed old factory rear end and replaced it with a rear end with 4.56 gears with a spool and long wheel studs, couldn't pass up this deal got it from a friend complete for 150 bucks. Installed cal-trac bars, sub frame connectors and installed 2 inch lowering blocks. Picked up some weld wheel draglites

Installed new radiator support, both new fenders, new upper valance, new lower valance, I had a fiber glass hood on it but the body guy couldn't get it to fit right so I bought a new steel hood. then sent it off to paint.

While waiting on the paint i got started on the engine. It is a 350 motor with a solid lift blower cam about 9.1 compression, Edelbrock aluminum heads, 1.6 roller rocker arms, B&M 177 mini blower, 750 mighty demon carb, MSD ignition system. Transmission is a turbo 350. I also do plan to add nos on it but only plan to shoot a small shot just to help cool the intake charge.

I tried to do something different with the paint I went with the one wide stripe down the middle and the hockey stick stripe on the sides in silver and the rest in a blue. another deal i couldn't pass up another good friend hooked me up with the paint job for 2500.00 bucks parts and labor included.
