Hey everyone, just came over from Camaros.net and decided to register here, too - great info on both of these sites! Well I have a 69 Camaro that I bought a few weeks ago and I've decided to take this project in the pt direction. I'll be taking my time, researching A LOT, and trying to learn as much as I can because I've never tackled anything like this before.
So let me ask your thoughts on an overall plan of attack. I want to start with suspension and brakes (new UCA's, poly bushings, shocks/springs, sway bars, discs), then paint & body, then electrical once engine/trans is done. I'll probably do interior over time after the car is back on the road - it's in pretty good shape as it sits today although very "factory". Engine, trans & rear end work will be outsourced to a local shop after I start the body work. I know there's a lot more to it, but from a high level is this a reasonable approach? Any gotchas I should be aware of?
Finally, if there's anyone in the Portland, OR area, let me know, especially if you don't mind showing off what you've done - I could use all the help and inspiration I can get! Thx again everyone and look forward to talking with you in the future.
