Hello Everyone,

This is my thread for the restoration and restomod build on my 1971 Chevelle SS.
The car is a true SS built in the swiss assembly plant in Biel. I decided 4 years ago to restore it and to add some power under the hood!
This is the actual setup:

- Scott Shafiroff 427 Ultra Street small block, Quick fuel carb, MSD ignition
- Magnaflow SS Exhaust
- Hotchkiss front end suspension
- Power steering pump and pulley system: KRC Power Steering
- Steering column: Flaming River
- QA1 shocks
- Wilwood front brakes
- TCI TH350 Street fighter, JW converter and flex plate
- Stock rear end: 12 bolts posi, drum brakes, QA1 shocks
- Stock interior: original parts like bucket seats, console, dash pad and some parts from Legendary auto interior like door panels
- Complete new wiring American Autowire
- Complete frame off restoration

Hi All,

I did my test drive today and everything is working fine. I just have one question to ask about the hydroboost. When i apply the brakes the engine oil pressure dummy light comes on. The gauge shows approximately 22 psi. When the brakes are off the pressure is fine. Does it mean that the effort on the steering pump is too excessive? Did someone experience the same issue?
Thank you for your support!
