Well finally getting around to writing about this.
So Monday getting back to work after being off a week as boss cut back on scheduling to work on his project truck. So he didnt get it ready in time and took his "56 F100 shop truck" still flat head, door doesnt latch right, rust coming out from under edge of hood.
So he hauls that down and winds up getting top 20 best unrestored!
Well we get back into swing of things, hoping schedule fills up as week goes on.
Well about 3 or 3:30 he is under a Mike Sells "tater chip" truck. One of the big square ones. We had it up on drive on 4 post rack. He started removing DS to replace carrier bearing and Tommy was under it servicing trans filter.
WELLLLLLL he gets last bolt out of DS and truck starts rolling backwards and DS winds up taking Brian(boss) over the back bar of lift.
So I had JUST pulled in my next job after test drive and see truck rolling out, Tommy jumps out from under truck and then looks to be running to catch the truck.
I was worried about it hitting customers minivan.
So after I get out of car, see Brian laying down. I just thought he fell trying to stop van.
Turns out he busted his ankle, broke couple ribs, dislocated and cracked a vertebrae.
So surgery Thursday, fitted for back brace Friday and chomping at bit to get out. Even pissed nurses off after he got out of bed to go to bathroom!
SO GUYS PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE DRIVE ON LIFTS OR ARE UNDER CARS, USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT!
