Does anyone have experience the Wilwood AERO 6 and 4 calipers? How do they compare to the Superlites for a street car? I know they are alittle more expensive and the rotors are alittle thicker. I am still tossing up between the Wilwoods and the Baer 6S system.

I went with the Aero's on my '55 Chevy project. I had Ron Sutton spec the calipers. We ended up ordering calipers with better piston area than what you'll see in their kits. I was also able to get 15" front and 14" rear rotors. I also have a set of Superlites on my Chevelle. 6/4 pistons, 14"/13". They work nicely with a 7/8" manual master. Can't say that either are better or worse than the Baer's, it's just what I went with.

Did you mean to say you're contemplating between the Aerolite & 6P caliper, not the 6S?
The 6P is a nice 2 piece design, decent price. The 6S is a 1 piece forged monoblock caliper which is super strong compared to the 2 piece bolt-together ones.
The Wilwood calipers are lighter, but as you can see they have a lot of open space.
For a street car it's highly unlikely that you'll feel any difference between all of the 6-piston options.
If you want the baddest kit you can get, i'd stick with the Baer 6S though!
Let me know if you'd like a quote, we deal with both Wilwood & Baer on a regular basis, as they're the 2 options for our chassis systems.

You are 100% correct, I did in fact mean the 6P. The Baer extreme is my first choice but funds do not allow. This will be a street car I just have a thing for brakes so I'm spending alittle more than I should for good looks and performance.
I'll give you a shout in the morning about some pricing

A 2 piece caliper isn't necessarily a bad thing compared to a monobloc design. 2 piece calipers flex less due to the steel bolts used to hold them together, assuming everything else being equal.
I would also take piston area into consideration, if performance is important.
If it's really just about looks, get what you like best. The Baers do look more "show" to me.
Are, you power or manual? I have similar questions?
I'm manual and need more force. I thing increasing piston area will help.

I went with large piston area and matched the manual master cylinder (7/8") and came close to 4000# braking force.
