I recently put in some qa1 front coilovers in my 72 camaro and have been getting this annoying squeak when driving.

Don't matter the speed once it starts rolling or pushing down on car it can be heard.

I thought the nuts were loose on top stud but we're tight and even tried some grease on the bushings but still no dice..

Any suggestions? Or maybe something I missed doing when installing

Here's a vid

Do you have a Bushing or Bearing at the Bottom of the Shock?

Hey 408Maro,

Make sure your upper bushing nuts are not too tight and that the piston rod is nice and centered in the hole in the frame. You only need to tighten the nut until the bushings are the same diameter as the washer. If you crank them down too tight, it'll let the piston rod migrate over to the edge of the hole and you will get a squeak. Try loosening the bushings, make sure you have the right shoulders in the hole, and snug them up until the bushing is the same diameter as the washer.

Let me know how it goes!

Unless you have adjusted your coilover kit to exactly the same height as your previous coil springs, you have changed your ride height, and your control arm bushings are in new positions. All of your bushings and ball joints should be checked
