Sale fell through, buyer was a scammer that just wanted pictures to scam someone else through ebay.

Cleanup the engine bay some and try to move the computer elsewhere, this will help the sell. People looking to spend the kind of money you are seeking would prefer a clean car.

Is there any way to correct the rust issues you speak of prior to selling the car also? Market is tough right now and there are plenty of cars out there similar to yours selling cheap.

I drive it so it gets dirty. I get that it needs to be washed before pictures are taken again.

I'm not going to repair the rust as it would require a repaint at that point and I'd just keep it. And yes I see cars going for less. People are welcome make an offer.

Updated ebay listing, no reserve, opening price is 25,000

Time for it to go. I have cancer and I don't want the wife to have to deal with it afterwards.

First, I'm very sorry to hear about your cancer. I can't imagine what it's like going through that.

As someone looking to buy a 67-69 Camaro, being remote in California, could I offer some advice? Photos, Photos, Photos. The auctions that a quickly glance at, and skip to the next, are the ones with low quality photos or a low number of photos. It's hard to imagine myself owning a $35,000 vehicle based off 5 low resolution photos. On the flip side, I can sure imagine myself owning a nice car when I see 100+ photos showing the entire vehicle (including the undercarriage); it removes some of the risk, I feel like I know what I'm buying.

These photos have to start in the ebay ecosystem, and remain in the ebay ecosystem. Photos need to be displayed in the description. If you link to a photo album, like your google one, it's difficult non-technical buyers. Ebay doesn't allow linking, so you have to copy/paste/etc. When I'm on my mobile device, using ebay mobile, it's a PIA (and I'm a technical geek!)

Also cleaning the car before photos goes a long way. Pay someone to detail the vehicle, including the engine bay, pay someone to take some pictures if you have to. A nice clean vehicle, with a realistic asking price, with a lot of photos sells quick.

Lastly, you're upfront about the rust, and that's awesome. Most people are shady about this. I encourage you to show photos of the problem spots. Buyers want to know if it's minor surface rust, pinholes, or something you can stick your hand through.

You have a very nice car. I've been viewing your auctions for a while, I like your car as a base to get started on a build. For me the rust issues scare me away, as it's an unknown, even at $25k. I see $$ to fix the rust and $$ to repaint because of the back glass channel rust. That's adding up to $10k in my mind right there (I have no photos of the damage, so I have to assume the worst). In my mind I see you as a $35k car, not a $25k car. So I'm comparing you at that level in the market.

I really hope this helps, and I wasn't too direct. Just genuinely trying to help, and I figure honesty is the best way.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree about the pictures but did not feel like paying ebay to post more pictures yet. Once this round if chemo is through I'll get fresh pictures and add more.

The rust in the window channel is approximately two quarter size holes, one high one low, the rear quarters appears that a patch panel would take care of it.

Pictures of the rust would help. any paint bubbling anywhere else ? do you know what subframe connectors they are. who makes them?

I'll update pictures tomorrow including the rust areas as there is now a 25k bid.

I think the subframe connectors were a generic summit brand. They are bolt in, no cutting required.
