Hey guys,
I have a question that I'm sure the guys here can help with. I am trying to figure out the best route to go about my problem. Let me start by saying I have a 1967 mustang coup with full one piece fiberglass front clip.
Originally I was going to mount my radiator in my trunk for weight but I am thinking with the amount of pipe, fluid and everything else it just isn't worth the time. Unless yall have an idea.
I was trying to keep the one piece clip from having to be cut open for a radiator in order to make the air go around or over the car.
So my question is this. Im thinking of doing a front leaning radiator in the car and using a small cut out in the one piece front end, then adding ducting to the front clip and radiator in order to force air into the radiator and over the hood. Think corvette c6R. Im trying to figure out the best way to mount the radiator. Right now I have the stock radiator support but it is being cut out of the car due to rust issues. So I can either replace it with a stock radiator support or custom build it.
Any ideas? Also the car is mostly street driven but I will be autocrossing. It is not a daily just going to run it hard when I do. The engine at this time is becoming a ford 347 shermanator (if I can get a specific parts list for the engine build). Im planning individual throttle body 8 stack with efi as well. Should clip with the weight savings.
Let me know! Thanks guys!
