I have been around this forum for a while and am finally going to move forward with my C10. I have been around cars, ridden and raced dirt bikes, mountain bikes and still ride both quite a bit.(seems like the mountain bike gets the most use lately) I worked in a paint and body shop out of high school for about 5 years, and have a pretty mechanically minded mind so here goes!

I acquired the truck about 5 years ago for next to nothing and drove it home and parked it in the garage with the rattle can primer paint job and the Navaho blanket seat cover from the previous owner as a "project". It sat here for a couple of years and I piddled with things and got it to be a decent driver. I really wanted a 2nd gen Trans Am to relive the "glory days" of my youth.......then I started seeing some pretty cool trucks and here we are. (Still want another Bird car though)

The truck is a good runner and can be a daily driver as we speak so I intend to do this in stages as follows, Stage one: Wheels, Brakes, and Suspension Stage two: Engine Stage three:Trans, drive line, and rearend. Stage four:Interior
This isn't going to be an unlimited budget build, but I think will be pretty nice when finished.

I have a bunch of pictures on different phones I will try to get sorted out this weekend. But stage one has just begun 20" wheels, Wilwood Brakes, and a Ridetech Street Grip kit should make this thing stop and handle better I hope!

Here it is now

Me too. Squarebody C10's are cool. Looks like a good foundation.

Well, work and life kind of got in the way of working on the truck.....Got some Toyo T1R's mounted to the new Vision 143 wheels, what a difference. I am really digging the look of the new wheels. 305/30x20 out back with 275/30x20 in the front, seem to be just right. I might space the front wheels out just a bit. Next on the list will be a Ridetech street grip kit, and some bigger brakes. That should make it a little more fun to drive!

Man that is a beautiful truck. I just looked at the street beast setup for my truck last night, a little more than I can handle right now but it's definitely on the wish list. What are the plans for the engine ls or staying sbc?

Thank you sir, it has a decent running 350 in it now and I plan to build a 383 for it after the suspension and brakes. A Tremec 5 speed will go in about that time also. Should be pretty fun about that point.

I ordered a grill and some other stuff from LMC and the grill came in damaged. (I have ordered quite a bit of stuff from them through the years first problem ever) I emailed them, and they asked for some pictures, and boom a new grill was shipped. Now that is how you handle problems! I have always had good customer service from them and am really pleased how easy this was.
