New Old Cougar to Add to the Roster

Hi!

New guy here with an old 68 Cougar that I finally found after a long hunt. It's a standard model that came with a 2bbl 302 auto. The motor had all of its push rods bent and is now out and ready to be replaced with a D.S.S. 347 and a AOD for the time being. The end goal is to install an Ecoboost 3.5 once it becomes a bit easier to install. I have a lot of questions and hope to find those answers so I can build the car I've been thinking about for years now. I've been in the Fox body stuff for a long time and have a pretty good idea of what goes where and how but always on the hunt to learn new things. Glad to have found this forum and hope I can add something good to it.

I can add some pics. Not much to see at this point really. Just getting it ready for the shop to do body and paint work. I'd love to learn how to do it myself but with two toddlers in the house and a job that seems to be 24/7, it's hard to find the time to do it. Plus when you have an award winning paint guy in the family, it's hard to not let him do it. Lol.

First one is the day I picked it up from a shop in the middle of nowhere. They were the second owner and got it through a trade for a Bronco they had just finished. They were going to restore it but had to much on their plate at the time and needed shop space.

Third is of the motor pulled out and fenders off. Just waiting on garage space at the bro in laws shop to get started on it. Hope to do it justice and make a fun drivers.
