I'm beginning the long road of building a 68 Cougar to run on the street with the intent to be able to throw it through the twisties from time to time. I've been doing a lot of reading and see that the majority are in favor of keeping the shock towers in place for structural rigidity making sure weight is distributed to the right areas. With that being said, has anyone tried using the AJE Colt-65 kit? I know more straight liners use it but could it withstand the side to side forces of corner carving?

I know now it won't be the best handling thing out there using the SN95 stuff, but would allow me to use easy to find, local parts store, parts. Will also allow me to trim the shock towers down for a bit more room for headers or the eventual piping for the turbo.

Any insight would be appreciated!
