your saginaw pump will work fine, probably even better than most type 2 pumps. if you're set on useing a type 2 pump talk to hydratech, they'll tell you the requirements you'll need out of the pump, on my type 2 i had to increase the pressure so it would operate both the brakes and the steering.

here is a great company for steering info, go to turnonesteering.com or call 989 759 4209.. i did a thread on 3/21/17 in the suspension part about turn one, BRET the president of RIDE TECH sent a comment about they use turn one in there race cars, not cheap but the best. RAMEY from UMI turned me on to turn one four years ago, they use turn one for the green machine. turn one rebuilt my steering box in my 88 monte carlo, i bought from CPP, junk never worked right, turn one made it right. these guys know the proper valving for your pump and steering boxes.. turn one 989 759 4206....saginaw, mi...THEY HAVE DYNOS FOR TESTING THERE STUFF, I NEVER KNEW THERE WERE DYNOS FOR TESTING STEERING PUMPS AND RACKS.
