I'm Looking at using Gen 3 Viper front suspension on my '70 Cuda.
The stock 'Cuda UCA's (K772 Ball Joint) have the mounting locations are at 15° off horizontal with the ball joint angled at a 90° (vertical) and the Viper UCA's (K778 Ball Joint) have the mounts and ball joints at 0° (horizontal).

I checked the K772 joint and can flex to 40° off horizontal.

Question is, If I used the Viper UCA at 15° would it over stress the joint???

First picture is the Viper UCA. Second 'Cuda UCA.

Thoughts???

Actually, I just found this.

Anyone have something similar for reference?

I'm Looking at using Gen 3 Viper front suspension on my '70 Cuda...

What is the distance between the control arm pivot axis and the ball joint center?
What is the static ball joint angle in the spindle?
What is the angle of the ball joint mounting plate on the control arm?
What will the suspension travel be both directions from static?
What will the upper control arm static angle be (at ride height)?

There are many variables that need to be defined before anyone can answer your question. If you can provide more info we can get a ball park figure on how close to bind you will be at both suspension stops. It's just geometry :)
