I've got an OER 3 piece rear spoiler for my 71 Camaro and I need some help getting it ready for paint. First off, it is quite wavy and uneven so it is going to take a little filler to make it perfect. My question is whether or not I need to apply epoxy primer, either before or after the filler, or even apply it at all? Ive never worked with fiberglass so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would apply epoxy before the filler. If it is only a little wavy I would use high build polyester primer after the epoxy instead of filler.

Ok thanks. You are probably right about the high build being enough, its a new piece but I'm sure you know how new parts have terrible fit and finish!

If at all possible, let new fiberglass parts get some hot sun time Installed in correct position to help finish curing & stabilize them.
