69 Buick GS400 door hinge question

I have a new lower hinge assembly that I need to install on my 69 BUICK GS400 convt and I am wondering if there is a specific DIY for GM A bodies for this, or if anyone has any tips on doing this properly. I know I need a jack and two people, but my main concern is if I will need to remove the fender to R/R the part? Any tips on making sure it aligns properly?

If you don't remove the fender you will likely need one or more of those curved door hinge wrenches. There are several different types. Something like this but the one I have is different:
