Hi Guys, quick question. Im running the CCP corvette front disc kit with the corvette hubs and budnik wheels. I also plan on running kore 3 rear c-5 kit. My question is sould i change my rear wheels studs to 12mm to match the front? Im concerned about running 2 different lug nuts. But i cant seem to find a direct replacement for the rear wheel studs in 12mm (i have an olds 12 bolt). Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

I run 12mm in the front and 1/2" in the rear. Never been an issue. Just keep the lug nuts by their respective wheel.

Thanks Andrew. Did you upsize your lugs to 1/2.? I think Ill do same as you. Id rather not experiment with different lugs. The failure would be ugly.

I upgraded both front and rear to 1/2" when I changed my rear end a couple of years ago. I was running 12mm up front and 7/16 on rear (old 12 bolt) with my C5 setup. When I switched to a 9 inch, I just changed everything. Costly, yes but everything is the same.

I didn't want the metric lugs on the front since they were too close to the 7/16 in the rear and I was afraid of inadvertently mixing the lug nuts (or a later owner if I sell it someday) so I swapped out the metric for 1/2 inch. Yes, 7/16 and 1/2 are not the same, but pretty hard mix those up whereas the 12mm and 7/16 are a lot easier to mix up if the lug nuts were in a pile.

Yeah, I had a local first gen buddy that had a local tire shop put some new wheels and tires that he had bought (Like the combos you can buy through tire rack). Had it done on Friday and brought the car to a local cars and coffee the next morning. When he got there he complained to me about a vibration while driving. Both front wheels were "loose" on the hubs. After some basic troubleshooting on the spot, we figured out that the tire guy (who installed the wheels on his car) used 12mm lug nuts on all of his 7/16 studs. Needless to say he had to get towed home that morning. SMH........
