Gents,

I am alittle confused on what I need to do to make sure these wheels will fit my car as they are not standard

I am looking at the US Mag Rambles in 18x8f and 18x9.5r. The rear wheels have a 4.25" BS and I know that 4.5" is ideal. Every car is different by alittle so how do I check that these wheels will fit my car before I order them?

I am planning on using BFG Sport comp 2's in 245/40 and 275/40 tires

The rears should be 18x9.5 w/5.5" bs. 4.25" is going to push the wheels out by 1.25" and you will hit the quarter panels.

Fronts should be 18x8 w/4.75" (or 4.5" depending on who you ask)

What do you have for wheels right now?

The 18x9.5 Rambler U111 Wheels actually have 5.25" of backspace according to their website --> http://us-mags.com/rambler-u111-w-6133.htm

A 9.5" wheel is actually 10.5" wide. The 5.25" backspacing is an actual measurement of the FULL width from the mounting surface to the outermost edge of the inner lip.

That means that the rest of that 10.5" of width goes to the front-spacing of the wheel, and would also equal 5.25".

The BFG SC-2 tires run really wide, so you'll likely have to roll the lips on your rear quarter panel, but you should be just fine with both 5.25" of backspacing and 5.25" of front spacing. You can google tons of images of 1st Gen Camaros running those exact wheels in 18x9.5

BTW - Great choice on the wheels! Good looks AND good value.

This is great information as I’m planning on running the same wheels on my 69 Camaro. My current stock 15” Rally’s have been great but I’m ready for a change. I’d like to run 17” wheels for a better ride as this is my daily driver. I’m thinking of using the Ride Tech True Turn to get a better turning radius and clearance for the front wheels

I ran rears with 17x9.5 w/ 5.5" bs and the fronts were 17x8 w/ 4.875" bs

No problems with clearance on the rear wheels?
