I have finished my minitub install and am making some preliminary measurements for tire fitment. Car is on a rotisserie with no suspension etc.. installed

If i measure from the inside of the wheel tub to the quarter panel lip at the top of the wheel opening I get right at about 14.5" indicating that's about as much room as I have to tire width. What's the typical measurement after a mini tub install? I feel like mine ended up a bit narrow.

That being said do I have room for a 335 or am I in the 315 range. The section width of a 335 tire on average looks to be about 13.2 inches. Leaving about 1/2" clearance on each side. Is that enough? 315 looks to be 12.4 leaving a lot more room than that. I'll be running a Ridetech 4 link with 18" wheels so it should be nice and tight.

1/2" on either side of the tire should be sufficient but you absolutely must have your axle width and wheel offset dead on. You did not specify, but if you roll the fender lip you can gain approximately another 1/2". To be honest rolling the fender lip is a good idea anyway just to prevent damaging the tire sidewall.

I just finished my mini tub install and have 15" on both sides. I have not rolled my fender lips yet either.
From what I hear Nittos are narrower ( 13.19" ) than most other tire brands and should be able to fit if you roll the fender lips.
BFG Rival's are 13.5" width https://tiresize.com/tires/BFGoodrich/g-Force-Rival-S-335-30R18.htm

I felt mine ended up slightly narrow. Not suprising considering I did quarters, outer wheel houses, mini tubs, trunk pan etc... guess I'm lucky I ended up that close

Is running 1/2" clearance on both sides a fairly safe and common number or would I be pushing the limits on comfort zone?
