Caliper Piston Sizes

I've been trying to figure out what the real difference in braking performance and pedal feel is between two sets of calipers with two different piston sizes while the master cylinder size, rotor diameter, brake pads, tires, etc remain the same. This is what got me thinking:

Front - LS1/C5 calipers - 1.76" pistons vs. C6 calipers - 1.59" pistons

Rear - LS1/C5/C6 calipers - 1.77" vs. C6 Z51 calipers - 1.65"

with larger piston sizes and the same size master cylinder bore you'll have a longer pedal travel to apply the brakes, in most cases.
