Project 'INTENSE' 69 Camaro

Well for those of you that have been wondering where Steve and his bright blue 69' Camaro have been for the past 2 years or so, well here's what I've been up to ....

I wanted to take the car to the highest level I possibly could, and build the cleanest, most tasteful and the most detailed 69 camaro possible... within my limits of course, and then enter it into the 2017 Motorama car show here in Toronto as 1st time ever shown.

So from the last version of my car the ONLY items that remained unchanged where the supercharged LS7 and the T56 Magnum transmission. This car has undergone a 2000+ hour restoration including the replacement of every panel on the car, a full new interior and a TON of small details that hopefully people (and the judges) would appreciate.

In the end we did ok, we got into the Top 10 (Like the Detroit Great 8) and received the runner up in the best of the Pro-touring class.

I want to extend a HUGE thank you to all the guys that came to the show this weekend just to see the car, some of you traveled quite a distance and I am honored that you guys came. Also want to recognize the following suppliers that came through for me in my time of GREAT need (like when we broke the front flush glass and needed a new one just 2 weeks ago !!) ... so BIG thanks to Roger at Speedtech for the Forgelines, Mike and Chris at Fesler for their big time help, the boys at Marquez Designs and to Anvil as well.

Also cannot forget the recognize the boys at Nadeau's body shop that did the most incredible body and custom work, and put up with my OCD crap for the past 2 years .. Rob, Jeff and Jeff #2 ... awesome and I thank you. And finally one of the nicest and well recognized interior specialists in the GTA, Harold at New Image Customs ... you nailed it buddy !!

When I approached Steves car at the show I was blown away!!!!! I seen the car in various stages and could see Steves vision coming together. But nothing could prepare me when I saw the finished product. Everything on this car was strategically and methodically thought out with purpose. Every detail compliments each other perfectly!! This is a car that leaves a mark for years to come. Well done Steve!!

I really tried to ensure the smallest details were addressed like all matching satin black caps, satin black close out and matching washers. The titanium intake was polished with special compound (9 hours) and the Edelbrock covers had been stripped, sanded and re-coated

Bottom, coated in raptor liner, gas tank cut and polished, everything repainted gloss and satin, every bolt replaced as new. Exhaust system took 4 days, EVERY piece is a mirror image to the other side in both angle, size height etc ... Matt did a KILLER job ... then hand polished for 4 hours or so

Love the use of a Super Sport hood and custom louvers. Looks great. I'm in the early stages of mine and also did the same for heat extraction. The only reservation is clearance and I don't have much left, lol. Beautiful car. I also love how you kept most of the original lines with very subtle improvements.

I've been spending a ton of cash on my 99 Tahoe between Complete fuel system, new cats, all 02 sensors and exhaust. Finally got it running good again, I went to get the wife and the dash started smoking and almost came to flames. These vehicles are going to kill me! but I'll keep at it.....

Hey Steve, In the picture "a little bling for the engine department". The aluminum canister on the right (with the threaded top) I'm guessing is the radiator overflow? Purchased or made? Looks really good (as if that's not "DUH" statement) It is, after all, part of the whole car! anyway...

BMW Mineral Grey Metallic ... pics do not do this colour any justice, there is most definitely a hint of blue within the charcoal grey in the right light. Also, some pics it looks darker than it is, and some it looks lighter

Dude - I have no words.......usually you can just flip through pics of cars rather quickly and say to your self - nice. I've been on your thread for about a 1/2 hour now just checking out the few pics I haven't see before on TC! She is gorgeous!!!! Every detail is flawless!
