I have 16 columns i am going to build then i am taking a break from columns for about a year or two , with my full time job and extra overtime all the time i just cannot build these as fast as i used to. I just completed an over time job from work last week and wont have another till about 2 months so i figure its time to sell what i have left and take a small break , here is what i have,,,
69 Camaro non tilt column, I have two real nice clean columns to rebuild @ 300.00 each shipped.
These are two really clean cores i have that have zero rust or scale on them, they were too nice to cut up so i left them complete to rebuild, stock levers only on these two , satin black only and come complete with new keys, ign switch and trun switch with horn wire or plunger for stock or aftermarket steering wheel.
69 Camaro ,69-72 Chevelle (a body) tilt column with dimmer on column SOLD OUT @ 550.00 each shipped
I have 3 complete columns to build to fit 69 camaro and they also fit 69-72 chevelles and a-bodies. these are complete with billet levers and new keys, trun switch and ign switch, direct bolt in.
69 Camaro ,69-72 Chevelle (a body) tilt column with key as stock 3 left @ 575.00 each shipped
I have 7 of these , basicly a stock rebuilt tilt for Camaro and Chevelle, complete with new keys , ign switch and new billet levers.
67-72 Chevy truck tilt (original 71 chevy truck column) SOLD@ 600.00
67-68 SOLD @ 600.00 shipped
69 Camaro, 69-72 Chevelle tilt column "shaved key"1 @ 550.00 shipped
I have one cap thats been shaved and powder coated, its a stock style column without key. has new tilt turn billet levers and new turn switch, satin black, direct bolt in
69 Camaro, 69-72 Chevelle tilt column with dimmer and shaved key SOLD OUT @ 550.00 shipped
I do have one mast tube that i can use for any one of these to work in 70-81 Camaro or Firebird, please no other substitutions other than this, all of these will be sold and shipped out by end of april. eack one of these columns requires and core non tilt , you can use the box the new column comes in to send back. I will need a 100.00 deposit and each column sold will be taken off the list when it sells, thanks, Jim

Jim, do you have anything that will fit my 66 Buick(a-body) I'll take switch and lights in the column if necessary. Shifter will most likely be in the floor. Did you make it to EC yesterday for the opening?

I'll have to agree with everyone else. I've had mine for a few years now and couldn't be happier. Jim is a great person to work with as well. Jim, hate to see you go, but you know what's best for you, besides, I figure you'll be back it's in your blood! Thanks for your help so far.. Everyone, better get yours while the getting is good!

no i dont have anything 66 or older , they are just to hard to find and when you do find one its too expensive, i can build the column anyway you want to and make it fit, but i dont have original 66 stuff, yes went yesterday thinking it was going to make me want another drag car , but not the case , there sure were a ton of spectators , but car count was very very low !

doesn't have to be even remotely close to original for the 66 Jim. It'd not going to have much left of the original car other than some sheetmetal and frame stuff. All new suspension, 5.3/4L60(should have a hair dryer on it too) and all aftermarket interior. Whatever you could cobble up that would fit will work for me. Give me a call or drop by the house if you get bored. Sorry I missed you at the track. I was in Ft. Walton with the slomaro at a little car show at the armament museum.

that's usually a pretty easy fix if it's just loose at the tilt bowl. Take it down to the turn signal switch being out and you'll see the three or four torx screws that hold it together. Tighten them down and reassemble. Not trying to take work from Jim but save yourself some money and trouble!

i dare ask, can you inform us on why the OEM are so much better than the china columns?
do you happen to have any for a 72 nova?

I've wondered the same. Maybe the biggest reason is the factory unit has the ability to telescope and collapse in the case of an accident. You can see the mesh cut into the body tube for this as well.
Aftermarket is said to shear but it does not give otherwise.
Minor issue with aftermarket, the tube is smaller diameter so you have to adapt to the factory collar.
Anything I miss?
I had heard that the factory has a wider range of tilt adjustment as well, but I really don't know if that is a thing.
