Anyone found anything to stop the chalky white oxidation that occurs on aluminum parts?
I even see it on the aluminum engine block! Live near a Houston so humidity is a fact of life here.

Terry,
Check out this company, I purchased their Opti Gloss Coat formula as I am going to coat some mirror finished rocker molding for my 66 nova ss. You may need a different formulation dependant on your surface treatment. I spoke with a representative and feel pretty confident that this a good product to help protect from oxidation. I just received it on Friday but haven't had a chance to use it yet. It comes in 10cc and 20cc and I will say it is PRICEY for the amount you get but I'm hoping it does what I need and that is prevent oxidation. BTW: I ended up finding the best price was on Amazon. I have looked into powder coating, clear coating and they all advise against those two options due to the finish being too smooth and will flake off over time I even sent off a small sample piece of another part for clear anodizing and it totally killed the mirror / polished finish by making it look more of a silver in color.

Hopefully this doesn't sound like a sales pitch, as I have no involvement in this company. If you're interested call them up and speak with one of their reps they were very friendly and informative.
Good luck

I have many cast aluminum parts (engine, A arms, etc) and I am looking for a product that will help... For now I wiped on a thin coat of WD-40.
