Just sharing pics of the scarebird DBW bracket kit I just purchased. It allows you to easily bolt a Cadillac cts pedal into a 2nd gen camaro or firebird..pretty cool and can't wait to install it

Just came across this thread. You guys notice any firewall flex when stepping on the pedal ?? Thx

Oh is the stock pedal adapter bolted on now? I'm looking to get one, but haven't got around to it yet

There was definitely some flex using the the threaded screws that held in the stock pedal. I cut up a stock pedal bracket and made backing piece to secure it with bolts. It works better and there still is some flex but not a lot. I don't notice it as much now.

That's very similar to the bracket I built a few years ago. I added an additional mounting tab up top and I used bolts to mount the bracket.

awesome idea...I may have to do something like that...run a support bar from the bracket to the cowl area

Is the stock bracket that comes with the pedal and GMPP harness no good ??

It's not that's it's not any good, it doesn't line up to the firewall without any extensive mods to the bracket. I even looked a modifying mine.

In the end it was just easier to get the scarebird kit for my 2nd gen because it took the guesswork out and it came with the end piece to mod the pedal.

It's located and feels like a factory 2nd gen pedal now

Would This be used for say a LS3 swap? How bad is it to change the throttle body to use a cable throttle vs having to use this?

If you have a LS3, going to a cable TB doesn't make much sense because Gen IV computers don't have IAC drivers. I can elaborate more, but just trust me, it's not a trivial matter to do a cable TB on a LS3....

I am actually considering this bracket and the CTSV pedal for my Cougar. The CTSV pedal looks much beefier than the Impala SS pedal. In my GTO that is not a problem, but in the cougar I seem to be getting a lot of flex which is causing some drivability issues with my dual throttle bodies. I am wondering if going to the CTSV pedal and the scare bird bracket would help...

Andrew here is another option for you. The bracket is designed for the CTS pedal, (part# ending in 038)
