Okay so I have power steering and Hydro Boost Booster. A couple of days ago my steering started getting hard to turn in certain spots ( no noises). I checked the belt not loose. The steering box is a after market box I put on a few years ago. I'm running a Turbo so I generate a ton of heat off the turbo headers, which is really close to the steering box almost touching. I have no power steering fluid leaks. I changed the fluid and put some fluid thats a conditioner/stop leak. I then jacked the car up and turned the tires left/right many times, with no binding at all. Drove it around the block and it seemed good, but started sticking some before I got back home. After having the new fluid in overnight I tried driving again today all seemed good..but If I snatch the steering left or right its as if there is no power steering (almost stops). So to the experts in steering, does this sound like a pump going bad, maybe not enough pressure?

SO I'm guessing no one has had this issue.

I had this happen years ago in a 72 Camaro I had.
The final fix after swapping the Pump and tightening belts (check this first) was swapping the steering box. They can leak internally.. If you swapped yours out maybe you have the original? If so try putting that back in. One thing you might check are your ball joints too. Cars act like this right before the BJ crumbles.
