I'm working on a 67 Camaro. I took the stock subframe out because of damage and replaced it with a really clean 73 Nova subframe I found on Craigslist.
So I got the Nova subframe in the car and am working on mocking everything up and measurements and noticed the transmission crossmember holes in the Nova subframe are different from the Camaro subframe. I noticed it when I was installing the trans x member that came off of the Camaro subframe onto the Nova subframe. On the 67 Camaro subframe there are three x member mounting holes on each side. On the Nova subframe there are four per side. When I tried to install the 67 Camaro x member into the Nova subframe I could only get one bolt hole to line up on each side, whereas on the Camaro subframe both bolt holes line up on each side of the x member. Do I need a different x member? I thought the Camaro and Nova subframe were the same. Has anyone run into this problem? Thanks Forgot to mention the holes on the tans x member are 2 1/2 inches center to center if that makes any difference.

From what I understand the crossmembers are different from 73 Nova which would be why only 2 holes from the Camaro holes don't line up. Get a Nova crossmember if you can't drill holes in the Camaro version.
