Hello
I will now realize something i have talked about, and thinking on in many years. I have a long relationship to US cars, back to my first Chevy Impala ( 1962) in 1987. I think i have used enaugh time on original cars, and its time to go forward. last 20 years it`s most Pontiac for me, and i own 2 difference 1965 Pontiac bonneville. 1 convertible and 1 safari wagon. I plan to put LS engine in both, but i started with the convertible. I bought this car in NC back in 2008, most of the car was restored, but i have gradually doing techical upgrades. The car is original with 10 bolt poci track. I replace the original steering box, with one with less exchanges for some years ago. For two years ago i replace the original 400 th with a reinforced th 200 R4. Last year i bought 16 x 7 wheel from BOP engineering. I am now making a front disc brake converting , and use a modified rear drum, as a adapter... then i will keep the original look.
The next prosject is to replace the original drivetrain with a 6.0 LQ9 /4L60E , i just have bought from Bowauto. This will now be my prosject, and i will try to post picture and text gradually. Before i start this prosject, i change the rubber / bolt between frame and chassi. I have found a good supplyer for my engine, and i`m in prosess to order, new intake manifold, oil pan, water pump, exhaus manifold +++. I think it will came a lot of both small and big challenge with this prosject, and i look forward to get tips and advices from you out there !!
