I saw these C5 seats for sale on ebay and I was wonding what mods i would have to do to get them to fit in my 69. I got the Idea from Project Prodity and really liked how they look plus you get all the added features like heated, lumbar, power adj. THanks

I knew a guy who had C4 seats in his '68, but I don't have any experience with the C5 seats. I know they will fit size wise, since the C5s don't have a lot of room to work with. Check out this picture of the C5 seat bracket assembly. Looks like it would be pretty easy to adapt to your car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/C5-CORVETTE-Z06-POWER-SEAT-TRACK-L-K_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33701QQitemZ801473718 1QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW#ebayphotohosting

Yes, they will fit and work fine. You will have to make mounting brackets.

But do they have a "tilt forward" mechanism so people can get in your backseat? (since the vette has no backseat..)

to be honnest in the last five years that I have owned my car I have only had someone in the back 4 or 5 times so I dont think that would be too much of a concern to me.. I think that if they slid all the way foward with the power adjustment then that would work for me....

I'm installing '05 Viper seats in mine and I have the same issue with no tilt forward. The way I look at no one is sitting in the back seat anyway and if they do they can squeeze in between. Now if I install a DSE roll bar that may be another issue.

If you have a cage you really shouldn't have anyone sitting back there anyway.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they do tilt forward, to like put clothes back there or something, I think the lever is at the top middle on the back of the seat. I could be wrong though.

I am going to do the same swap. I have a set of base c5 seats I want to install. Any seat can be made to work, but the question is how much work is involved. The C5 has a flat floor, the Camaro has a raised section where the seat mounts. The C5 seats might end up too high with the C5 rails. Does anyone have C5 seats in their car who can tell us how they installed the seats?
