Just like the title says, my passenger side ridetech upper control arm is hitting my Kooks LS swap header when shimmed out to achieve -1 degree of camber. This is in a 69 Camaro with full ridetech suspension. I was running the same setup last year, but I was using the Guldstrand mod holes. I now want to try the car with the stock holes and I ran into this problem.

The only thing that I find strange is that I had to use about 1/2" of shims on both the front and back to even get to -1 degree of camber. I'm wondering if the fact that I'm using the old version of their upper arms might be my problem. These are the arms that were around before they had coilovers and were setup for air suspension. They did not have the slotted cross-shaft holes. Does anyone know if Ridetech has shortened the arms or made any other adjustments in the newer version of their upper control arm?

BTW: I autocross this car, so I would like to run about -2 degrees of camber. (I would also like to get more caster)

I would contact ridetech and see if there has been updates to the design

i dont see it being a ridetech issue i think its a header issue. Those headers are awefully far over

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that anything negative about either part, just wondering what my options are. If there is an updated version of their upper arms out there that wouldn't require as much shimming, then it's an easy fix. I would rather not dimple the header.

I will check with Ridetech on Monday.

only way would be a shorter upper control arm. how many shims do you have in there?

You need to contact RideTech.

Our new control arms haven't changed dimensional wise. The biggest change that they have are the delrin bushings and options for different caster slugs.

Are you running our spindle too?

Yes I'm running your spindle as well. I have your complete level 3 coilovers package.

Thanks for letting me know. As I said, I was just wonder what options I have. I may be able to shim the motor mount.
