Optima schedule 2017

Wow! I had a feeling there were changes coming when I was down at Autoclub late last year, couple of the big name drivers were missing too. Looks like the 2017 schedule came out and sure nuff, no ThunderHill, no COTA, no Charlotte. They also added GTC class for compact 4-bangers. This was gonna be my fourth year helping out... change happens. Hopefully they'll add one or two races. Bummer! Hey Larry, can you give some insight?

I'm just happy to see Pikes Peak make it back on the list. I'm too poor to make the events outside my area :(

The closest one to me is NOLA, but it's in April. I'm not sure if I can get my car prepped in time.

The 2017 OPTIMA Batteries Search for the Ultimate Street Car Tentative Schedule has been announced. Set your calendar and be ready for registration to open before the end of the year. All of these events are expected to sell out.

March 17-19 Las Vegas Motor Speedway
April 21-23 NOLA Motorsports Park
June 2-4 NCM Motorsports Park
July 7-9 Pikes Peak International Raceway
August 25-27 New Jersey Motorsports Park - NJMP
September 1-3 Auto Club Speedway
October 7-9 Road America

I hate they dropped a few tracks for 2017, especially Charlotte and COTA!

Regardless, registration is strong. NCM is already sold out and Road America only had about 3 or 4 more open spots when I checked earlier this evening. Seems interest is not waning, although could it be these events are filling quickly due to the decreased number of events?
