We are Hops And Bolts Garage. DJ, Myself, and Sophie have always dreamed about cars. I own a 1969 Camaro that I bought just over four years ago now. I bought the car as a drag style race car. I traded my beloved 1978 Buick Regal for this as the 1969 Camaro was always a dream car of mine since I was young. I purchased the car with some experience about cars, but apparently not enough, because now that it is apart, it is a little more rough than expected. First date with my now wife was picking up this car, she was also the one who named her, Nellie.

After some money and time and work, I bought a suspension kit from a fellow PT member. It consisted of Global West Uppers and Lowers, Bilstein Rear Shocks, DSE 3" Drop Leaf Springs, QA1 Single Adjustable Coil Overs, and a Detroit Speed Sway Bar. I also picked up a set of Speetechs ATS Tall Spindles and from Kore3 a set of c6 Z51 brakes with a manual wilwood 7/8 master cylinder, which i ended up with this:

At this point the car had the same power train that it had when i bought it, which was a 355 world sportsman heads, a huge solid roller camshaft, rvmb th400, and 4.56 12 bolt posi. Needless to say it was great, if you weren't going over 35 mph for long distances. I drove the car for about a year like this, life happened, I bought a home, started back to school, and sadly my wife was in a terrible accident causing me to part out many parts that were on the car to keep afloat. Which brings me to the now: Currently the car is on jack stands, I have been slowly, but surely, accumulating parts for my dream build. I have all in all a 2008 6.0 LY6 engine, with a victor Jr. intake, accufab 4150 style tb, BTR .660 titanium race spring kit, LS7 lifters, a t56 out of an 06 GTO (Wide Ratio), McLeod RXT clutch, 2 billet flywheels (steel and aluminum) and a B&M Ripper Shifter. I will be building this car with my friends and family, so please follow along on the thread, and the youtube. Please offer advice when needed because this is my first rodeo on body panel replacement! I appreciate everything, and all the knowledge that has been offered! Have a great one guys!
