I have a 68 Camaro that currently has a factory disc type setup. My problem is the "pushing out" of the front wheels with this setup is keeping me from dropping the car as low as I'd like (rubbing outer fenders).

My question is will going from that setup to the willwood set up below do me any good. I called wilwood and they said this kit will increase offset by .19" but they didn;t know if that was per side or if it was as compared to factory drums or discs. My other option is to maybe try the BRP disc conversion that uses LS1 brakes and an OEM drum hub.

I ran these brakes, and pretty sure it pushed my wheels out 1/2" per side. What is your wheel width & backspacing?

17x8 and 4.75 backspace. Right now I have to run a spacer on the front coil spring to keep the tire from touching the fender over highway bumps. The car isn't ridiculously low mind you, it just needs that wheel pulled in a 1/4" or so. I figured I'd try something besides the GM single piston caliper conversion the car has on it now.

Does anyone know if the Wilwoods or the LS1 style brakes on a drum hub will be better at keeping the track width narrow?
