Since carbon brakes are becoming more and moro common on pruduction cars it makes me wonder why the prices hasnt drop for aftermarket level?

Because carbon fiber itself isn't that easy to work if u don't know how to work it. Auto calves aren't out there like sand blaster cabinets. It's a process that can't be messed with or altered to speed up production. The rotors are where the money goes.

And the fact is daily driven or even fun driven cars with them fail to stop well till they get some heat in them. And they dust and can have some noise. Not saying they dont work but understand those brakes are designed for cars running 200 mph and slowing very fast. Putting around town might have some issues rear their ugly heads.

I work on Gulfstream airplanes and for one brake it is around 80K. (GV) they need 4 brakes.:dunno:

Back in 2000ish one brake for a G4 was around 15-20K the price keeps going up and up, now about 30-40K
