I can remember an article over 15 yrs ago about a Honda Civic that had 2 engines in it. They claimed it was one of the fastest accelerating cars they had ever tested. It wasn't turboed but it was all wheel drive and very quick too.
If you look at it realistically it has 8 cylinders ,2 turbos and weighs probably 2800lbs or so. If you had any of the cars here at this sight that had twin turbos and were on a weight diet like that they would be in the 9's or 10's.
I'm not saying that it isn't a cool car because it is. The engineering it took to do it is marvelous. It proves that it can be done and that with enough time and money those little cars can compete.
For them to say it is the only one on the planet!!! I think they better look a bit farther than their own garage. I would take a gamble on the claim and say that someone out there has one too but it may just not work as well and they don't want to embarass themselves because of all of the work and not too good of results.
It would be really cool if Cars and Concepts who built the Civic would pull it out and put turbos on it and see it it could do better than this car?
Do any of you other guys out there remember the Civic?

I remember that little project. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they use an automatic on one engine and a manual tranny on the other?
Honda Civic.........the worlds first bio-degradeable car.

I remember it was 2 automatics with the torque converters being different and the timing being adjusted different so the engines wouldn't spin the car around or something like that. It took them some tuning to get it to work off of the line.

I don't see why everyone is so impressed. Great engineering but most anyone can make over 600rwhp with a turbo SBC and run better than a 10.89.
Cool design but i'm not to impressed.
