Hi guys,
I have a set of custom CCW wheels on my '71 Formula, and they look absolutely amazing, but at the same time they look like sh*t when theres even a slight road dust and water stains on them!!, and since I'm using my car almost as a daily driver, I need to re-polish them once or twice a week and I'm getting tired of that. What do you guys use as a wheel wax to keep them shiny as long as possible?, I tried Armorall Shield wheel protectent spray and it was horrible, as it turned the wheel a little dull and it would wipe off very easily.
Any suggestions??
I clear powder coated mine, a tick less shiny, but not much.

This stuff is what you want. White Diamond metal polish. Find it at O'Reilly's or Advance Auto parts. This polish is quite literally the best I have used.

I did a complete polish job on these cast rally's when I got them in 2014.

Starting with 400 grit. :) The final polish was with White Diamond on a cone. I haven't touched them since other then to keep them clean.

Older thread but a good one to keep active. In the past, on all my billet and polished aluminum I used ShineSeal which used to be ZoopSeal before the name change. My SVT Lightning won a couple of best engine awards at local shows.

So I just bought some forged Budniks that are polished, and I _may_ try Adam's Clear Ceramic coating. I've used Adams products before and they are outstanding but not cheap LOL. This Clear Ceramic stuff looks like the next generation on the ShineSeal concept. I already have the ShineSeal kit, so I may use it now and re-do the wheels in the spring. I also have a guy who is a pro detailer down in Florida and I'm going to pick his brain on polished wheels.

The front wheels were in great shape, but I had some time to kill last week, started with the blue cream, then went to the white cream. The backs were not so pretty but I cleaned them with Simple Green, rinsed good and patted dry before polishing. The backs now look really nice.

No applicator with the white... just rub it on and in with nitrile gloves, then buff out using a fresh microfiber. My rears are scheduled for either late tomorrow or wednesday... I may take before, during, and after pix on how I deal with polished aluminum.

I used Opticoat on my polished wheels and it has held up very well. Wheels car me clean easily with just spraying water most of the time.

I use Chemical Guys Wheel Guard Max Coat Rim & Wheel Sealant
but I only drive it a few times a month.
