Probably would be fine in a proper enclosure with a proper amp. An old scool Sony XEC505 with bass gain would do wonders for it.

I assume you are going to use a crossover and not play it full range?

That being said....it is just an 8" speaker.

Yes, I'm using an Audio Pipe crossover. The woofer will be mounted in the wooden cabinet... I also have a pair of tweeters were the old 4 x 10 speaker was.. I removed all the hvac from the car, so I have a lot of room under the dash..

Thank you!!

Yep I agree with the other fellas say those are a bumpy road away from a dash fire or blown fuses ....no regardless of the amps or speakers .....get a real head unit ...if the amp is getting "dirty signal" it won't matter what amp you have . Having said that a cross over is highly recommended. Once you have those things figured out then worry about speakers . Any speaker will play basically any sound (loosely meant for you fancy guy ) using a cross over to funnel a certain frequency range that matches what said speaker performs best at will obviously provide the best sound

Can you elaborate on all the drivers and what they actually do?
