widest tires for a 67 camaro with stock width suspension and a two in drop

I'm building a street and autocross SOLO 67 Camaro it will have a 2in drop ft and rear have 15x7 wheels on it now wanting to go wider poss 16-18 whats the widest I can go

well i have stock wheel wells and 275 made little contact from bumps if i had passenger in the back seat. So i think 265 is safer with correct back spacing. I think my rims where 9,5" wide

I ran 15x8" with 4" bs and a 275/60r15 on a stock rear width/stock wheel well '68. Currently running 275's on a 18x9.5 on the same car. No longer have leaf springs but still had the 15's on there after the change.
