Not sure, but GM is offering the 8 speed version for the new LT1 and LT4 engines.

That's a good question, don't see it happening yet being as we haven't seen many models with it chevy or ford . If I understand correctly it's a bit on the large side of life thou . Much more tunnel mods needed than just trying to fit a t56 or t 6060
