Holley tech recomends single plane intake manifold with carburator replacement Efi, like their sniper or terminator. How come I have not seen any recomendations from other brands who are selling similar systems? Is this only holley related thing?
" When using a Holley EFI system, a single plane intake is preferred. Dual plane intakes can potentially cause hard start Issues "

never had problem with Fitech EFI on a dual plane rpm air gap intake even cold starts

I think with the air gap that has the machined notch in the plenum divider you'll be ok. or add an open spacer. It has to do with the MAP sensor port location on the throttle body. It's over on one side and may get weird readings if it's only getting pulses from one side of the engine.
And remember, the injectors are shooting fuel in at high pressure,EFI even the TBI style doesn't need to rely on the vacuum signal to pull fuel through the venturi like carburetor does, so the single plane may not be as bad down low like on a street driven carb engine.

yes I have a 1/2" open spacer ( can't put a 1"spacer with my hood )
will a modified rpm air gap with injector bungs welded work well for MPFI application ?

It must be toally different thing when injectors are mounted on the each runners.
I am now talking TBI style efi where 4 or 8 injectors are mounted in the throttle body.

It may not happen to every dual plane, but the possibility is there.
