Hi All,
This is a very open thread, I am trying to get some ideas of what hood to go with. I currently have a flat hood and want something a little different. Of course I have seen 2" and 4" cowl hoods, but I know I want something a little different......does anyone have anything different or outside of the box?
Some hoods I have seen that are different are
- L88 hood (a little busy for me, but I haven't seen it on the right car)
- Ultra-Carbon FAT 4" cowl hood - This one seems really cool as it is a very gradual cowl, but again I haven't seen it on the right car.
Anyways, I would love to see any crazy idea's you all have come up with, bought or built.
Here is a picture of my car currently for reference.

First off just wanted to say I think your car is bad a--. Super clean and subtle but with attitude. I'm a sucker for a first gen with a flat hood and smooth decklid.
An idea I had for our nova was a ss hood with the grille holes filled . You could build sleeker grille inserts but I would love to see that hood just smooth with no holes. Food for thought.
I always thought that the ss grilles would look good on the stock cowl hood

Here is your common cowl hood but with some tasty trackspec hood vents.

My opinion is KEEP the flat food (looks great !) and install some nice louvers in satin black. Remember sometimes 'less is more'
I know Kevin V8TV has made some nice ones

I like the way the Ring Brother's Razor Hood looks, but at $2700 for Fiberglass no thank you.
Off topic, I love the way the RT-S's look on your car. I wish they made them in more backspacing offerings than they list on their website.

I still question my decision to choose the stinger hood, It's growing on me, but at this point I've come too far to turn back.

I completely agree their hood is awesome, but I'm too poor haha. I'm almost thinking of building some heat extractors similar to the front of a Ford gt or terminator cobra. That way I can funnel air through the intercooler/radiator and out the hood... just a thought right now tho.
Thanks for the pics guys, I like the ideas... keep them coming.
The rt-s come in a bunch of backspacing options, Summit has a full list.

What company made the stinger hoods you guys are using? I'm looking for an L88 style like I had in the 70's on my 69 Z/28.
