I am reluctantly looking to sell my Keisler SS700 transmission due to some life events. I have never installed the transmission but it was ordered for my 1970 Pontiac GTO from Keisler. As many may know the transmission was manufactured by Legend Gear and Transmission who is still building them. I would prefer local pickup but I could possibly deliver within a reasonable distance. I'm located north of Pittsburgh, PA. I will consider shipping. I'm looking to get $3,000 for the transmission but will consider reasonable offers. This was number #36 from Keisler. I'll add more details and pictures below. Thanks for your interest.

Features
700 lbft torque rating
Rated to 7,500 rpm shifts

Fits bellhousings on most Chevy SB, Chevy BB, Pontiac, LS, Buick, Oldsmobile and others

2nd - 1.78

Any interest in a NEW TKO500 trade? I have a almost complete install kit also (flywheel, clutch, etc.), minus a cross member.

just a comment.... i know this is a choice transmission. I'd love to have it too. But why would it come with a 2.66 1st gear ratio? My uneducated opinion is unless your running greater than 4.56 ring and pinion you'll at best have and overall ratio of 12.12 and if your pro touring your prolly running a 28" or 29" overall rear tires height which makes for a weak take off. modern corvettes, camaro, mustangs come from the factory with great overall gear ratios as in 13 or 14 to 1

Actually most cars on here run closer to 26" tall rear tires, 28-29" is a VERY tall tire, more apt for drag themed cars. The 335/30R18 I'm running is 25.9". I don't have my 71 on the road now, but I can say in my 98 Trans Am with a 26" tall tire, 2.97:1 1st gear ratio, and 4.11's... that 1st gear was worthless. A 2.66 would have been preferred, which is why the T56 I ordered for my 71 will have a 2.66:1 first gear as well, and I might even change the 4.11's out for something numerically lower.

makes sense. thanks for explaining.
Im currently running 305/35/20 3.90 R&P with a 3.28:1 1st gear ratio (richmond 5 speed) this set up nets me 12.8 overall first gear and i think it could use a bit more gear. 1st gear burns the tires off but the reason i say this is bcos unless you let the clutch out just right, the car will buck
