Hi guys,
Wanted to get your thoughts as to which brakes to get. Car has 18" wheels & will be driven 90% spirited street driving 5% autocross 5% drag race.
I got it narrowed down to 4 basic choices:

1 - Wilwood Forged Narrow Superlite 6R Big Brake Front Brake Kit
~ $1300 street price
http://www.wilwood.com/Search/PartNoSearch.aspx?q=140-12278-d

Pros:
12.8" diameter rotor
6 piston caliper
1.1" thick rotor
alum hubs

Cons:
most expensive option $$$$
must modify spindle

2 - Wilwood Forged Dynalite Big Brake Front Brake Kit
~ $840 street price
http://www.wilwood.com/Search/PartNoSearch.aspx?q=140-8582-D

Pros:
cheaper option
alum hubs
4 piston caliper
light weight

Cons:
slightly smaller 12.2" rotor diameter
thinner .81" rotor won't dissipate heat as well
must modify spindle

3 - Kore 3 GM TALL-SPINDLE C5/C6 kit
~ $1155 with D&S rotors
http://www.kore3.com/proddetail.php?prod=10104-01

Pros:
12.8" rotor diameter
1.26" rotor thickness
alum hubs
complete kit well proven product

Cons:
2 piston
pricy option $$$
must modify spindle

4 - CPP C5 Big Brake kit with C5 spindles
~ $650
http://www.classicperform.com/C5-Spindles/C5-Spindles.htm

Pros:
12.8" rotor diameter
1.26" rotor thickness
alum C5 hubs
complete kit
comes with new C5 spindle / no modifications

Cons:
2 piston caliper
m12 wheel studs (not that big of an issue but could be changed)

Seems to me the CPP C5 kit is the best bang for the buck or am I missing something?

According to this post on you tube, CCP is an awful company and sell parts that won't fit your Pontiac properly and expects you to jimmy-rig items that would concern safety in my book. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xdlc2M0tjM. He also has a video installing http://www.kore3.com/proddetail.php?prod=10083-02 and then you can run c-5 rotors and calipers of your choice. I'm in the research/learning stages as well. The bracket is $140, I'm not quite sure of the rotor and hub. Here's a video of this guy adding the set up to his car. Admittedly the car looks a little weathered but theres always a way to save a few bucks

Hi Ty,
Hope you & the bird are doing well :]
I looked at those kits but my pockets are not that deep...
How many miles do you have on them / the car so far?
How is the pad wear?

Using the Kore 3, you know you can cut the disc off a factory front disc and use the hub and save some change, if money is an object. The aluminum hubs can be added at a later date. Kore 3 will sell ala carte.

I watched the video you linked below. That guy's kit doesn't look like it came from CPP. CPP C5/C6 brake kits use their own steering knuckle. CPP doesn't sell aluminum adapter brackets for brake calipers.
