1984 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback ROLLER W/ FORD MOTORSPORT WIDE BODY KIT
This Mustang GT with Ford Motorsport Widebody kit spent many years in Onieda TN and was well known in that area. The previous owner purchased the car for the drivetrain and parts for the restoration of 1984 Predator Mustang. The car was a complete running and driving car at that time. This "Widebody" HAD a 347 stroker with a TKO Temec 5 speed and a lot of other mechanical great parts and a NICE interior.
As you can see the car is now a roller with no engine, transmission or interior. The body is complete and is a Rust-Free body. The car does roll with complete suspension including a 8.8 rear-end with what I am told is 3.73 gears and a Traction-Lok in the chunk. The 4 wheels are 80's vintage 10 inch wide 15 inch wheels. The correct center caps are with the car. The steering rack is with the car however it is not installed in the car. Same with the steering column that has the keys.
As stated earlier the metal body is rust-free. The original doors are in excellent condition along with the rust-free rear hatch with a nice Saleen rear wing installed and excellent rear glass. The front fenders are the fiberglass Ford Motorsports fender along with the rear fiberglass quarter panels installed on the car. The rear bumper and matching lower valence are in good condition. The front bumper cover is good with the correct front lower fiberglass front spoiler that is complete however broken in one spot. The lower rocker flares are in nice condition. The hood is a nice aftermarket 2 inch cowl induction fiberglass hood. The floor boards on the car are excellent and rust-free. The frame rails are nice along with the rocker pinch welds. The doors are just shells however they are in very nice condition.
There is very little interior with the car. There is a dash shell, steering column with keys and some rear interior trim pieces. That's about it. There is a spare tire with the car. Go figure?
This is a GREAT rolling Foxbody Mustang with a really neat 1980's Ford Motorsports "Widebody" kit already installed. This will make a great track car, autocross car of ambitious street restoration with your drivetrain.
The car has a good clear Tennessee title.
