I was just reading the thread of tall spindles on a sec gen. I was just wondering what the thoughts are on a tall spindle with a 2" drop . I bought a 1966 Lemans conv. It had Hostick 1" lowering spring all the way around. I put a set of Heidi's 2" dropped tall spindles. I had a set of tubular upper control arms for a body race car that I put on. I had to cut the tie rods ends off about 1" each to be able to adjust the toe in. I have a jeep steering box and a vintage air front runner system with a Detroit speed steering pump. I have 8" I had to put a 1/2 spring spacer to bring the front up enough and by angling the car I can now go over speed bumps. I have ansen sprint slotted mags in 8x17 with 245/40R17 Nitto street tires to clear the wilwood 12.88 rotors and 6 piston calipers. I like the way the car sets. The front end alignment is 3 dregrees posivite caster 1/4 pos camber and 1/32 toe in. The car is a cruiser. I have no plans to do any racing. so back to my original question, what are the thoughts on the tall spindles with 2" drop. Also do you think I should change my alignment specs for a street car.
