I know a guy wanting to do this. Anyone know if the tranny tunnel needs to be modified to fit this tranny?

Mark I had one with a TH400 in it and it was to say the least close.....The T56 in my chevelle was no where close to fitting of course the bottom of the tranny is above the frame so needless to say the whole trans is inside the car! But if I had to guess I would say it will have to be modified. Ar you going to run an aftermarket front clip?

You will need to cut your tunnel. The cut in this picture (scroll down) is for a TKO 5-speed, the cut for A T56 will be slightly larger.

Thanks for the replys. I was pretty sure it needed to be modified.

He will be running a aftermarket front clip.
