looking for suggestions on an intake.

motor is a 6.0 with f1a procharger. looking at 8-10 psi max.. i know not pushing the blower at all but i am after supercharged drive ability.
car weighs in at a healthy 3650 lbs.... plus.... power windows and vents and seat. chassis bracing.. and a few other heavy items.

Goal is 700 streetable at the crank... or close to it.
i don't care for the low LS intakes and the truck intake is plain ugly but would be more suited for the car. from what i am reading the sheet metal intakes (which i like the look of) don't start producing power until the upper rpm ranges..... would like to build power/ torque low.... in the range.

last key to the puzzle is it has to fit under the hood. so i dont think the holley high ram will work.

Does it matter whether the intake has a 3 or 4 bolt TB flange?

What are you doing for engine management? Is your engine 24 or 58 tooth? All these things are intertwined.

Andrew. thanks a bunch. all items i am looking to make progress on....

Current setup is a bone stock 2001 LQ4. with 317 heads. with 4l80e. I believe it is a 24 setup. I have all wiring, computer and dbw pedal.

I recently saw a holley terminator setup installed and loved it. so im considering going that route and offing all of the pieces I have. alot of decisions... and looking at time to redo a harness and computer..... it would be nice to do the holley setup and be done with it.

so I have alot of reading to catch up on.
looking at heads too and wondering if the value of a thicker deck head is necessary if i am at 10lbs or if i can save the 317's and invest elsewhere.

Are you referring to the throttle body style Terminator system? I would not go that route. With forced induction you want a dry intake system and multi point injection.

If you want a more user friendly system, especially with boost, why not get the Holley Dominator? It'll handle everything, including the 4L80 and DBW. Couple that with the Holley HiRam intake and it'll look and perform awesome.

Maybe he meant one of the Sniper manifolds Andrew?

Any updates on this project?

Hard to know what he means if he doesn't accurately articulate it...LOL

sorry guys... been busy with the little man.

mixed up my conversations. the terminator i was referring to was the wiring/ controller engine management question from Andrew.

updates. waiting on parts for the for the front drive.
picked up an f body ac compressor but it doesn't fit. Now looking for a gto compressor and then to cut the frame..... some more.
need to order a PS pulley once I get the balancer on and im waiting for ATI to send me the installer.

Still a long way to go.

After some reading the Dominator is the proper solution for an all in one package.
