I have this crazy idea for a pro touring car(s), a 1977 and a 1979 Lincoln Versailles. Yes I have 2 of them. The '77 has a 351W while the '79 has a 302W. I have been gathering parts for the build. A 1995 roller 351W long block, long tube headers, an Air Gap intake manifold, and I have a couple of carburetors to choose from.
What started me down this path is that the Versailles is built on the Falcon platform as were the early Mustangs and many other Ford models. I figured that there has to be enough stock and after market parts out there to transform the Versailles. The other good points are that the Versailles came with four wheel disk brakes and a 9" rear end.
I have the drivetrain figured out but my problem is the steering, suspension, and brake upgrades required to make this thing go, turn, and stop with the best of them.
My hope is that there are people on this site that are familiar with this car that can help me choose those components (steering, suspension, brake upgrades) or point me in the right direction.
Thank You

Welcome, I don't believe I've seen one. Any pics?

Personally, I would love to see a cream puff with some attitude haul butt around some cones...

Just for grins I'd put in some electric exhaust cutouts, to go from mild to wild..
