I'm in need of some affordable 18" wheels. Can anyone confirm or deny that the US Mags Rambler U111 wheel in 18 X 8 w/ 4.5 backspacing will fit over C5 brakes on a 1st gen Camaro? I've got brakes on the way and no one has a set locally to check the fitting against the template. I read on another post that the Foose Legends will not fit, but if anyone has a different experience I would like to know. Boss 338 is the backup plan, and I've seen several cars with C5 brakes running those. If anyone knows of another sub $200 wheel in the 18 X 8 / 18 X 9.5 stagger with the correct backspacing and a black or gray center I'm happy to take suggestions. I prefer the multispoke look over 5 star, but right now I just need a decent set of wheels/tires in the sub $1500 range.

I have Coys on my C5 equipped 67 . Any 18 inch wheel should fit with plenty of room. I do know of a couple of people that ran into issues with 17 inch wheels . Calipers clear my wheels with 1/2 inch space. The 17 inch aluminum slots that my car came with would not clear without a spacer.

He had to grind down the caliper face, which is what I'm trying to avoid. Another guy was able to do it with a 1/8 spacer, which might be an option but I'd rather just have wheels that fit. Was trying to avoid a drive into Dallas, but there's a couple of shops there that stock them and I can measure. Thanks.
