I've got a 400 SBC block with factory 4 bolt mains and std. bore. Whats the most displacement I can get with a stroker crank?

You can go to 434 with a 4" crank. But that is getting pretty big. You have to likely would have to clearance the block a fair amount. It would be safer with a 3.875" @ 420 cu. in.
But an important side note. Have your block checked before you go to far into the build. The factory four bolt blocks a noted to have cracks in the main journal bulkhead area. When I worked at an engine shop 3 out of 4, four bolt 400 blocks that we checked were cracked in that area. The factory two bolt blocks were much better.
Good Luck.

On a factory block I would not go past a 3.875" stroke (415cid) Anything longer and you are goning to start running into block flexing/waterjacket/clearance issues. By the time you get done clearancing and filling the block it costs about the same to just by a World Sportsman block which is stronger anyways.
