Ride tech sell me some coilovers.

Currently I'm running afco coil overs on my 67 camaro with the quadralink setup. Right now i have about 1/2 before i hit the bump stop on the coilover. Obviously too low. Im looking for a adjustable coilover that the will work with my setup. Eyelid to eyelid mount is 12 3/4"

I was thinking the Coilover Shock needed was a - 4.1" Stroke - HQ Series
Part #: 24149901 Bearing Mount (Compressed 10.13" - Extended 14.23")

Are you going to be at texas good guys at the end of the month? If so i could wait to buy them then or try them out

The 12.75" ride height will work perfect for our 4.1" stroke shock. Pretty sure the mounts on that setup are 1" wide, we do have some spacers to accommodate (our standard bearing spacers are 1 1/4") We will have our display rig setup at Texas Goodguys. Although you can order at the show, IMHO I would do it now. I would want to fix that issue before the show. We have host of spring rates available to suit your driving needs, what will the car primarily be used for? My direct # is 812-481-4706 We have all those parts on the shelf and can ship immediately.

Mainly street car but spirited. Next year i will be autocrossing it. By then the car will be broken in, kinks worked out, and part of me.

Is the body of the 4.1 stroke shock shorter to accommodate for the shorter travel? Guessing the body is shorter as well as the rod correct? Im currently running a 8" 250lb dse supplied spring on my afco coilovers. Will that work with this setup or do i need another spring?

225-250 rate is good for what you are doing. If you don't purchase before GoodGuys Texas, bring the car by the booth. We'll toss it on the scales so we can see the exact rear weight of the car to validate. We typically use a 10" spring on that shocks, an 8" spring won't allow for much preload before running out of threads (zero preload will be at the top of the threads). Also, most AFCO springs are 2.625" I.D., the Ridetech shocks are setup for a 2.5" I.D. I recommend changing the springs to a 10"/250.
The body length of our 4.1" stroke shock is 8.43" (center of eye to the top of the body). The compression stop is .4" thick. The eye mount is 1.7" long. This adds up to a compressed length (including the bump stop) of 10.53". From your 12.75" ride height this will give you 2.22" of compression travel and 1.48" of rebound travel. Right at 60% stroke which is perfect.

coilovers were the perfect height. Ridetechs eyelids are wider and bigger hole opening. They are nice enough to supply reducer bushings. I have to cut about a 1/4" off the bottom of the quadralink bracket tubes on both sides and the top mount i have to cut about 7/16 off the tube were the bolt goes thru to make them fit. Talk about a PITA. The good thing is i was able to use this to my advantage. They have 2 different type bushing adapters. One has a single step and the other has the single step with a 1/16 of a inch bigger flat spot on it. I used this to offset my shocks over little more kicking the coilovers about a 1/16 or 1/8 of a inch to one side to gain better exhaust clearance.

I still have to finish the bottom mount of the drivers side but overall i think i picked up about 2" of extra shock travel, my car sits exactly how i want it and i image the ride will be 10x better since I'm putting the shock in the sweet spot. Ride tech thank you and i will see you sat so hopefully put my car on your scales. We are bringing my 67, 69 convertible lsa, and a 69 with a 427.

Thanks for the info! I won't be at the show this weekend but several other will be there. Danny, Trent, George and Jeremiah will be working the booth. Bret will be piloting the 48hr Camaro on the autocross and Smitty will be in the Corvette. Have fun, safe travels.

That's beautiful! Great job on it.

Can you email me some pictures of it? I'd like to get some of them shared on our media sites.
