Please post price, per forum rules.

If I am following it correctly this car is not for sale outright. They are looking for someone who will buy it and pay them to build it. I don't think you can just haul off the unfinished project... So posting a price for the car is pretty much meaningless. You will be in far deeper than that once they complete the car....

^^^^^THAT being true, and they are looking for someone to fund their build, then this ad is shameless free advertising and should be removed. IF they are selling and removing the project from their building then it needs a price.

IF a professional shop is seeking business, they can buy advertising like the professionals DO.

"Shameless free advertising" isn't something that one of the TOP builders in the nation needs... on this forum or any other.

THAT being true... I'm sure that whomever purchases this project and has RS build it for them... the project will be thoroughly document for our enjoyment.

I personally think it's a great idea and have absolutely no issue with this thread whatsoever... just my .02 cents. No change needed if you disagree.

Just to clear this up, this is a project a customer started with us but regrettably decided he could not complete. As such, we have on our hands a really nice clean Chevelle with which we would like to continue the project to completion with a potential new customer. We do not normally seek out projects like this since most build customers come to us with a vehicle and see it through to completion. We simply thought others may be interested in a project like this without the headaches of possible hidden nightmares of a rusty or botched donor car. This is not intended as 'advertising'. There are better and more effective ways of doing that than the 'for sale' section of a forum.

We are not selling the 'car' so there is no $. The project will basically be created around whatever the budget a customer says they would like to allocate to the project.

So you are looking for a customer? Isn't that the point of advertising?

I'm pretty sure if the people that can afford an RS build don't look for them in Ads. I would bet RS has a wait list....

RS Performance--"we would like to continue the project to completion with a potential new customer"

YET your ad is placed in the "cars FOR SALE" section and YOU chose to title it "project 'foundation' for sale" ?????

You give me grief for questioning you here, but you are the one that states you are looking for a "new customer". ADVERTISING is defined as public communication for the purpose of acquiring customers. A "car for sale" listing is defined as public communication for the purpose of selling a car.

I appreciate the fact that without advertisers I wouldn't have this site to go to. I guess my point here is I am supporting them, and possibly in turn you too. (RS)

I like the car as it sits now. When can I pick it up?

They are not selling the car.... It will be built as a project through their shop.

I know they are not selling it. And I never said I was paying.

It's a nice clean car, unfortunately someone could not continue on with the project. I think I have seen other projects mid way through completion being sold by other professional shops in this forum. I do not understand why it matters, and where should it be listed if not car for sale. I agree it does at first look as though they are selling the car. Would be nice if someone could take over and finish the project, not this kid,, but someone.

Please read before starting a new thread
We have the "For Sale" forum to help help our members who want to sell or looking to buy cars or parts. We do have a few simple rules that are not being followed by everyone though. They are in the rules of conduct thread https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/9...es-Please-read that we all read when we joined right?? If you missed them here is a quick summary

- You must include a location and price in your thread. A ebay or craigslist link will not work.
- This forum is for sponsors or non commercial members only

- All threads from non sponsor commercial vendors will be deleted
- All threads that do not include price and location will be deleted

If your thread was deleted and you are not a non sponsor commercial vendor please feel free to start a new thread, but make sure you include all the required information
